Dobie Gillis look-a-like

 













Way back when (before there was colored television) there was a show called The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. Dwayne Hickman was Dobie Gillis and Bob Denver (before he became 'lil buddy Gilligan) was the Beatnik, Maynard G. Krebs and there was some girl named Zelda on the show too.

My point: On the show there were many shots of Dobie sitting by the statue in this pose. Imagine my surprise and amazement when I too could pose ala "Dobie". When we went to the museum in San Fran and I saw the statue, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
