Due to popular demand (threats), I have created another blog to document my Where's George? adventures.
I am looking for a good name for the site and am open for suggestions. Until then, it will be titled: (ld)2's George Adventures.
The website will be dedicated to the hits, documentation, travels, and adventures of my George, Abe, Alexander, Andrew, Ulysses, and Ben bills. It will be a blog for money lovers everywhere i.e. cs.
So visit it often and see where my bills have travelled and how many hits I have had. I'm working to get my 50 state bingo. How long will it take?

I have tried getting cs to join in on the fun, but she has a fear of being contacted by the Department of Homeland Security or ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms — don't ask me why they're the ones to investigate money issues.
I told her, No problem. Where's George® can handle that. They're called Stealth Bills. We just register the bills on the website, but don't stamp them. It will be a bit tougher to get some hits, but it's worth a try.

I went shopping at Costco today and received 4-$1 bills like above. I was immediately jealous when I spied the cool Where's George? stamp on the front. It also had a similar stamp like mine on the back.
Turns out that the fellow numismatist is a 50 year old male named Charlie from Pleasant Grove. He joined Where's George? on May 3, 2002. He has 12,787 bills in circulation with a hit rate of 14.01%. 1,791 bills with hits and 2,130 total hits. His George score is 1,073.94!
Hit #4 on Where's George? came yesterday. The $1 bill landed in Fresno, California — probably one of the bills I spent in Cedar City on my weekend get-a-way with cs. This $1 bill was registered on June 29, 2007 and found its way to Park City. It was input by a fellow numismatist that has been registered with Where's George? since January 6, 2006.
This dude has a 3.48% hit rate. He is tracking 3,508 bills and has 122 bill hits and 130 total hits. (Some of his bills have more than one hit.) His George score is 773.23. And you all thought that I was the only crazy eccentric one out there.

One of my $1 bills that I registered on Where's George? on May 29, 2007 found it's way to Logan, Utah and was input today by a fellow numismatist.
So far, I've got 106 other bills that I'm tracking. (The best part of being a numismatist is that you don't even have to know how to spell it to be one.)
Where's George? is a website that tracks the natural geographic circulation of American paper money. It has grown sufficiently popular that it has led to the establishment of a number of other currency tracking websites, as well as sites that track other objects, such as used books.
When cs and I first met (and I had excess cash), I used to put my initials on the dollar bills that I had. She asked me why. I said that I wanted to see if I ever got any of them back — never did. Needless to say, it was one of my endearing quirks that fascinated her…and that she thought she could cure after we were married. Instead, she used it to her advantage by encouraging me to spend my money…on her…with the theory that the sooner I put the money into circulation, the sooner it would have the chance of returning back to me. Where's George? will make life so much easier and simpler!
