Nones of May
Today is the Nones of May. Some may refer to it as Cinco de Mayo. It became obvious to me the other day that not all know what calendar day this falls on.
We were having a luncheon at work to celebrate April Fool's Day (Calends of April) and they were discussing what they could celebrate next. Someone mentioned that we could have Mexican food and celebrate Cinco de Mayo. A coworker turned to me and said, When is that? Go figure.
Now, if someone had said the Nones of May I could understand, but Cinco de Mayo? She obviously had had no association with la raza.

Hey LD our blog address changed www.ryanbrijs.com/blog sorry.
I sure hope you did celebrate, if not with your co-workers I'm sure our neighbors are having some sort of party that you could join in.
