Family Cookbook

Reading about Wendy & the three-son's Summer projects and crafts made me think that they may gravitate towards baking and cooking things. May I suggest 3 activities. I thought that I would contribute and get them started with a few all time favorite recipes from the tattered and worn pages of The Arnett Family Cookbook.

ld's Raisin Bread
1 loaf of bread (sliced)
Raisins
1 finger
Take slices of bread and poke holes in it with finger. Insert raisins in holes and squeeze together. Continue until loaf is completed. Serves 8-10 people depending on size of slices.

Variation: May put cinnamon in holes before inserting raisins. May serve warm with butter too!

Larry's (the other ld) Punch
1 pkg. Kool-Aid (Kid's choose the flavor)
1 cup sugar
Put together in the green pitcher and fill it up with cold water.

DevHoyo's Dessert Gelatin

Directions:
Add 1 cup boiling water to contents of packet.
Stir until dissolved.
Add 1 cup cold water.
Chill.

thanks for the helpful recipes. Amazingly enough my boys love to make koolaid and jiggles (this is what they call jello) and I'm pretty sure Beau has figured out your recipe for raisin bread.

Haha...those are all classic recipes. Sadly, my handwriting has gotten that much better.
