Giant Falcon
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It's Super Falcon!
New York's Empire State building had to deal with King Kong — the giant ape. Mount Rushmore, South Dakota has to deal with the flying pheasant overhead. Washington has to deal with the King Salmon jumping over Mount Ranier. Apparently, Idaho has to deal with the giant Peregrine Falcon looming over the state (See below). It must be the spuds! [If you look closely, you will note that they have a star to mark where the Bennetts reside. Either that, or the falcon decided to take a peck out of the state.]
I raided cs' garage sale proceeds from last weekend and scored the new Idaho state quarter. Made my day of course. Idaho became our Nation's 43rd state July 3, 1890.
Question — How many of you rushed out to find a New York quarter to see whether or not it had King Kong?
