Peep show

Went in this morning to the eye doctor to get the "peepers" checked out. Ran me through all the various machines. One to measure your eye. One to check your vision. One to follow the red dot, one to follow the green dot. Still not thrilled with the one that blows a puff of air to check your blood pressure. They tell you not to blink and to keep your eye opened wide…right…like that is going to happen when you know what's coming…your brain says one thing, but your eyelid says another and so they have to do it multiple times to make certain that they got it right.

Then they put the wonder drops in both eyes so that they can take a picture of the backside of each eyeball. Your pupils get dilated the size of your iris. And that's okay.…until you go outside in the sunlight. It feels as though you've just chopped a thousand onions and the waterworks start flowing overtime.

But they have a cure for that. It's these cool rolled up sunglasses. You unroll them and put them on. Presto changeo, you can suddenly see again.

Only one drawback…whenever I put them on, I have an insatiable urge to grab a mug full of pencils and go stand on a busy street corner.
